When your kids are near adults...

All I could think about was how it seemed like yesterday they were boys and now they are fine young men. The credit goes to Mary, the love of my life and the glue that has always kept our family together. The mother bear that keeps the Papa bear from eating his young. Based on the outcome we have done well.

Today I visited the national Marine museum.  A great place to visit if you like history and it gives you a sense of really how much we owe to these young men and woman.

The Next Chapter for Neill

There is a time in every parents life that you have to put your real trust in your children. Today was my day. The talented young man guiding the boat is my Son Neill. It was hard to put my life in his hands. That is him at work guiding us (my youngest son Russ is in the front on the right) down the river in a Class 4 rapid. While rafting may not be certain death it is hard to turn over control to your son to make sure you stay safe. For parents it is suppose to be the other way around. You are leader your children are the followers. Today we became peers!!!
